Reports to: VP of Underwriting
The underwriting department at Prestige helps to support both new business as well as renewal business on our master health plans. The underwriting team works with our outside consultants to assess risk and determine the pricing for our new business opportunities for our master health plans and then helps to communicate that pricing and risk profile to our sales team. The department also reviews the performance of the Prestige clients on master health plans to monitor ongoing claims and risks to the health plan. This ongoing review allows us to best prepare for the annual renewal of our health plans and understand what groups may be underfunded or needing to have additional rate actions to ensure proper premium adequacy.
Position Summary: The data analyst supports the underwriting team in driving data quality, analysis and reporting initiatives that contribute to operational excellence. This position would include data validation, auditing and reporting across multiple platforms. The position will maintain data integrity, documenting standards, and support strategic insights through manual and automated processes.

This role is Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days work from home.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Audit data to identify missing information, inconsistencies or errors.
- Work with relevant stakeholders and data sets to enrich or correct data.
- Profile data to identify discrepancies and anomalies across databases. Works to identify and clean as needed, while tracking progress and recording outcomes.
- Create tools as needed for data management and analysis
- Design build and maintain reports to support strategic benefits initiatives and decision making
- Provide insights through data analysis, data maintenance, reporting, and research to guide organizational decision making.
- Identify opportunities to streamline process and enhance efficiency
- Ensure benefit data accuracy and integrity through audits, reconciliation and analysis.
- Support operations projects and develop workflow analysis
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Analytical mindset with ability to identify trends and inconsistencies
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks independently
- Effective communicator with ability to collaborate across teams
- Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel- this is a must
- PEO experience preferred
